Referral Program Terms
Last updated October 2026
By sharing your PlayHouse invite link, you agree to these Referral Program Terms. Please read them carefully. Key points:
- Every member has an invite link. When a Creator joins PlayHouse through your link, you earn 5% of the gross amount of their sales for 365 days from the day they sign up.
- The program currently pays on referred Creators only. Referral earnings on what referred Fans spend are not currently offered. We may extend the program to referred Fans' spending, on terms we will show you in PlayHouse.
- PlayHouse pays your referral earnings. Nothing is deducted from the earnings of a Creator you refer.
- If you are a Fan, your referral earnings are Wallet credit you can spend on PlayHouse, but not withdraw. Creators and Agencies can withdraw their referral earnings under the payout rules.
- The rate that applies to a referral is fixed when the referred Creator signs up. We may set a cap and change the program for future referrals. All rates and terms are subject to change.
- You must follow the Terms of Service and the law, including tax law. We may withhold referral earnings for breaches.
Warning: No one has to pay to take part in the PlayHouse referral program. It is unlawful in some places to persuade anyone to make a payment by promising them benefits from getting others to join a scheme. Do not be misled by claims that high earnings are easily achieved from the referral program.

1. About these terms
- The PlayHouse referral program is operated by Vallara, Inc. ("Vallara," "we," "us"), a Delaware corporation, 2261 Market Street #67575, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States.
- These Referral Program Terms are additional terms that apply if you take part in the referral program. They form part of the Terms of Service between you and us. Capitalized words not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
- The current rate, Referral Period and any cap are shown in your PlayHouse account. If what PlayHouse shows you when someone signs up through your link differs from these terms, what PlayHouse showed you applies to that referral.
2. Definitions
- "Gross Amount": the full price of a sale, excluding tax, before any platform fee or Agency share is deducted.
- "Invite Link": the unique link in your PlayHouse account that you can share to invite people to join PlayHouse.
- "Referral Earnings": the amounts you earn under these terms.
- "Referral Period": the 365 days starting on the day a Referred User signs up for PlayHouse.
- "Referred User": a person who signs up for PlayHouse through your Invite Link. A Referred User who is, or becomes, a Creator is a "Referred Creator".
- "Referrer" (also "you"): a User who takes part in the referral program. A Referrer is a Referring User for the purposes of the Terms of Service.
3. How the program works
- Find your Invite Link in your PlayHouse account and share it with people who may want to join PlayHouse.
- When someone new signs up for PlayHouse through your Invite Link, they become your Referred User. If they are, or later become, a Creator, they are your Referred Creator.
- A referral is recorded only if the person signs up through your Invite Link. If they sign up another way, or we cannot recognize the link (for example because it was changed), no referral is recorded and we cannot add one later.
- Each Referred User can have only one Referrer. A person who already has, or has had, a PlayHouse account cannot become a Referred User.
- A Referred User who signs up through your link but never becomes a Creator does not currently earn you anything.
4. Who can take part
- Any User with an active PlayHouse account can take part. If your account is suspended or closed, by you or by us, you can no longer take part or earn Referral Earnings.
- If you are a Creator or an Agency, to withdraw Referral Earnings you must meet the payout requirements in the Terms of Service, including passing identity verification and adding a bank account.
5. What you earn
- Referred Creators. You earn 5% of the Gross Amount of each sale a Referred Creator makes on PlayHouse during their Referral Period.
- For example, if a Creator you referred makes US$1,000 of sales on PlayHouse during their first 365 days, you earn US$50.
- Referred Fans. Referral Earnings on what Referred Users spend as Fans are not currently offered. We may extend the program to referred Fans' spending in the future. If we do, the rate and terms will be shown to you in PlayHouse before they apply, and they will be subject to change.
- Referral Earnings are paid by PlayHouse. They are not deducted from a Referred Creator's earnings and are not added to the price any Fan pays.
- The rate is the same whatever platform fee applies to a Referred Creator, including any promotional or negotiated rate.
- Rate fixed at sign-up. The rate and Referral Period that apply to a Referred Creator are the ones in effect when they signed up through your link. A later change to the program does not reduce them, except as section 9 allows.
- Caps. We may set a maximum amount of Referral Earnings for each Referred Creator. Any cap is shown in your PlayHouse account, and a cap we introduce applies only to Referred Creators who sign up after it is introduced.
- After a Referred Creator's Referral Period ends, or any cap is reached, you earn nothing further from that Referred Creator.
- If a sale is refunded or charged back, we may reverse the Referral Earnings on it. If they have already been paid to you, we may recover them under section 9.
6. How referral earnings are paid
- If you are a Fan, we credit your Referral Earnings to your PlayHouse Wallet as spend-only credit. You can use it like other Wallet balance, to pay for any Creator Interaction except a Subscription. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another User or exchanged for cash, and it cannot be paid out when your account is closed, except where the law requires otherwise.
- If you are a Creator or an Agency, we credit your Referral Earnings to your PlayHouse account as earnings. Withdrawals follow the payout rules in the Terms of Service, including any hold period. Payouts are made by bank transfer to a bank account you save. Any withdrawal fee is shown before you confirm.
7. Rules for sharing your link
- Do not impersonate PlayHouse, or say or suggest that PlayHouse is sharing, endorsing or sponsoring your Invite Link.
- Do not use the PlayHouse name or logo, or anything confusingly similar, in domain names, social media account names or app names, and do not bid on them in search engine advertising, or use any similar paid search advertising service, to promote your Invite Link.
- Do not give a false impression of PlayHouse or its Terms of Service, and do not suggest that anyone will earn a particular amount of money, or any money, or attract a particular number of Fans, on PlayHouse.
- When you promote PlayHouse, make clear that you may earn money if people join through your link, as advertising and consumer protection laws (such as the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement rules) require.
- Share your Invite Link only with adults, and only in places that allow it. Do not share it in places aimed at people under 18.
- Comply with anti-spam laws, such as CAN-SPAM, when you share your link by email or message.
- If we ask, tell us how and where you share your Invite Link.
8. What isn't allowed
You will not earn Referral Earnings, and we may take action under the Terms of Service, if you:
- refer yourself, or any account you own, control or operate;
- refer a Creator with whom you have a commercial relationship, such as a Creator who is linked with an Agency you own or work for;
- create, or encourage others to create, duplicate, fake or automated accounts;
- pay or reward people to sign up, or make or fund purchases yourself to generate Referral Earnings;
- send spam or unsolicited messages containing your Invite Link; or
- otherwise break these terms, the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy, or act fraudulently.
9. Verification, withholding and recovery
- We may ask you, or a Referred User, for identity documents and other information we reasonably need to check a referral or a payment. If you do not provide it, you may lose your right to Referral Earnings for that Referred User.
- We may withhold all or part of your unpaid Referral Earnings while we investigate a suspected breach of the Terms of Service or suspected unlawful or fraudulent activity, whether by you, a Referred User or anyone else involved. If we conclude that a breach or fraud occurred, we may treat the affected Referral Earnings as forfeited. The rules in the Terms of Service on withholding and forfeiting Creator earnings apply to Referral Earnings in the same way.
- If Referral Earnings were paid or credited to you by mistake, or were earned through a breach of these terms, we may recover them, including by setting them off against other amounts in your account.
- If two people claim the same referral, we decide which referral to record based on our records.
10. Changes and ending the program
- We may change any part of the referral program, including the rate, the Referral Period, any cap and these terms, or end the program. Changes apply to referrals made after they take effect. We will give you reasonable notice by email or through PlayHouse before a change that reduces what you can earn takes effect, unless we need to act sooner to comply with the law or to prevent fraud or abuse. If you are a Business User in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the notice periods in our Platform-to-Business Terms apply.
- No change will take away Referral Earnings you have already earned, and no change will reduce the rate or Referral Period of an existing referral, except where the law requires it or as section 9 allows. If we end the program, we will tell you what happens to existing referrals.
- You may stop taking part at any time by no longer sharing your Invite Link.
11. Tax
You are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on your Referral Earnings. We may ask for tax information and documents, report Referral Earnings to tax authorities as the law requires, and withhold tax where the law requires it, as the Terms of Service describe.
12. General
- Taking part in the referral program does not make you an employee, agent or partner of Vallara. You have no authority to act for or bind us.
- The governing law and dispute resolution terms in the Terms of Service apply to these Referral Program Terms.
