18 U.S.C. §2257 Statement
Last updated October 2026
PlayHouse (https://playhouse.fans) is owned and operated by Vallara, Inc. ("Vallara", "we", "us" or "our"). This statement is made under 18 U.S.C. §2257, 18 U.S.C. §2257A and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 (together, "Section 2257").
1. Everyone shown is an adult
1.1 All persons who appear in any visual depiction of actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct on PlayHouse were at least 18 years old when the depiction was created.
1.2 PlayHouse is for adults only. We have zero tolerance for any Content that shows, involves or suggests a person under 18 in a sexual context.
2. Exemption statement
2.1 PlayHouse is a platform on which independent Creators upload and share their own Content with Fans. Vallara does not create, film, photograph or commission that Content, and does not hire, contract for, manage or otherwise arrange for the participation of the people who appear in it.
2.2 Vallara's activities in relation to Content uploaded by Creators are limited to its transmission, storage, retrieval, hosting and formatting, without selection or alteration of the content of the Content, apart from removing or restricting Content in a manner consistent with 47 U.S.C. §230(c). Under 18 U.S.C. §2257(h)(2)(B) and 28 C.F.R. §75.1(c)(4), these activities do not make Vallara a primary or secondary producer of that Content. Vallara is therefore exempt from the record-keeping requirements of Section 2257 for Content uploaded by Creators.
2.3 We do not use Creators' sexually explicit Content in our own marketing or advertising.
3. Creators' responsibilities
3.1 Each Creator who uploads a visual depiction of actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct is the producer of that depiction for the purposes of Section 2257. The Creator, and not Vallara, is responsible for creating and maintaining the records that Section 2257 requires for their Content, for acting as the custodian of those records, and for making any disclosure that Section 2257 requires.
3.2 Our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy require Creators to comply with Section 2257 and all other laws that apply to their Content. Every person shown in Content must have been at least 18 when it was created and must have consented to appear in it and to its publication on PlayHouse. Sexually explicit or nude Content may show another person only if that person is also a verified PlayHouse Creator identified by their @username in the caption, or has completed our co-performer release form.
3.3 Questions about the records for a particular depiction should be directed to the Creator who uploaded it.
4. How we verify Creators and co-performers
4.1 Before an account is approved as a Creator account, the account holder must give their name and date of birth (they must be at least 18) and pass identity verification through our identity verification provider. That verification includes an identity document check, a liveness check, a match between the account holder's face and their identity document, and sanctions and watchlist screening. A Creator must pass identity verification before they can receive any payout.
4.2 A co-performer who is not a PlayHouse Creator must complete our co-performer release form before explicit or nude Content showing them is published. The release form verifies the co-performer's age and identity and records their consent to appear in the Content and to its publication on PlayHouse.
4.3 Our verification of Creators and co-performers supports our own safety program. It does not make Vallara the producer of any Creator's Content, and it does not replace a Creator's own obligations under Section 2257.
4.4 To find out more, see Age and Identity Verification.
