Our Mission and Values

PlayHouse is owned and operated by Vallara, Inc. This page sets out why we built PlayHouse and the values we use to make decisions about it.
Our mission: empowering creators and fans
We want creators to own their work, set their own prices and build direct relationships with the fans who support them. We want fans to choose who they support and what they see.
Our vision: a creator economy people can trust
We want PlayHouse to be a place where creators can build a sustainable business and where creators and fans can connect safely and with respect for one another.
Our values
These values guide how we treat our Creators, Fans and Agencies, how we work with each other, and how we make decisions about the platform.
Respect: we value our community
We welcome creators and fans of every background and genre. We don't tolerate discrimination, harassment or abuse, and we want everyone who uses PlayHouse to be treated with respect.
Safety: we protect our community
We put the safety, privacy and well-being of our community first. That means verifying the age and identity of our Creators, checking the age of our Fans before they see sensitive or paid Content, checking what is uploaded, giving people easy ways to report problems, and acting on what we find. Our Commitment to Safety and Transparency describes how.
Freedom of expression: we make room for creativity
We give creators space to express themselves and share the Content they choose, within the law and our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
Integrity: we earn trust
Trust, honesty and transparency. We aim to do the right thing whether or not anyone is watching, to describe what we actually do, and to make it easy for people to raise concerns with us.
Empowerment: we give you control
We give creators tools to control and earn from their Content, including setting prices, choosing who can message them and building their audience. We give fans control over who they subscribe to and whether they see sensitive Content.
Accountability: we own it
We take responsibility for our words, our actions and our results. We explain our decisions, and when we get something wrong, we want to hear about it, through our Complaints Policy and Appeals Policy, and to learn from it.
