How does auto-renewal work?
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, so you don't lose access. There's no separate auto-renew switch: to stop a subscription renewing, cancel it. See How do I cancel a subscription?.
When and how you're charged
- The next charge date is shown on each subscription in My Subscriptions, next to Next charge on.
- The renewal is charged to your default saved card. If that card is declined, we try your other saved cards.
- If you took an introductory price, the subscription moves to the creator's regular price once the introductory periods end. You'll have seen that price before you confirmed.
- A free trial becomes a paid subscription on the date it ends, unless you cancel first. See How do free trials work?.
When a subscription doesn't renew
- You cancelled it.
- None of your saved cards could be charged. See Why did my payment fail?.
- The creator removed the plan you're on, or their account is no longer active.
- Your own account isn't active.
