Subscribing, unlocking, tipping and messaging creators.
- How do I subscribe to a creator?Select Subscribe on the creator's page, confirm you're 18 or over the first time, choose a plan and pay with a card.
- How do I cancel a subscription?Go to Profile, select Subscriptions and cancel. You won't be charged again, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- How does auto-renewal work?Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period and are charged to your card until you cancel.
- Why can't I subscribe to a creator?Check that you're signed in, have confirmed your age, have a working card and aren't already subscribed. The message on screen usually says which.
- Why can't I find my subscription?Check the Active and Ended tabs in Subscriptions, then make sure you're signed in with the email address you subscribed with.
- How do free trials work?A free trial gives you 7, 14 or 30 days at no charge, then becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
- Are there discounts or promo codes?Promo codes have been retired. Creators can instead offer a lower price, longer plans, a free trial or an introductory price.
- Where do I find content I've bought?Posts you've unlocked are in Purchases. Locked messages stay in the chat. Video requests and calls are in Requests and calls.
- How do I send a tip?Tip from a post, a chat or a livestream. Tips are paid from your wallet balance, and the amount must be within the range shown.
- What's the difference between following and subscribing?Following is free and puts a creator's posts in your Following feed. Subscribing is paid and unlocks the posts they share with subscribers.
- How do I find creators and posts?Use Explore to browse posts, creators, reels and tags, search by username or tag, or go straight to playhouse.fans/username.
- What are VIP messages?VIP messages let you message a creator who limits who can message them, and mark your chat as VIP. Buy a bundle in your chat with the creator.
- How do video calls with creators work?Book a call from the creator's page, pick a time and pay from your wallet. If you aren't both in the call for most of it, you're refunded in full.
- Do I need to subscribe to watch a livestream?No. Free livestreams are open to any signed-in fan who has confirmed they're 18 or over. Ticketed livestreams need a ticket, even if you subscribe.
- Will I be told when a creator posts or goes live?Follow a creator to get emails and push notifications when they post or go live. Choose which in Profile, under Email and Notifications.
- Can I see a creator's stories without subscribing?Select the ring around a creator's profile photo to open their stories. Who can see each story depends on the creator's setting.
- Why can't I open a creator's page?You see This page isn't available when the username is wrong, the account isn't active or was removed, or one of you has blocked the other.
- What can creators see about me?Creators see your username, profile photo, what you buy from them and the messages you send them. They can't see your email address or card details.
- Why am I asked to confirm I'm 18?PlayHouse is for adults. Before you see sensitive or paid content, including media in messages, you confirm once that you're 18 or over.
