How do video calls with creators work?
Some creators offer one-to-one video calls. Each creator sets their own price.
Book a call
- Go to the creator's page and select Book a call. You'll only see it if the creator offers calls.
- Choose a Length: one slot, or two slots back to back.
- Choose a Day, then a Time. Times are shown in your own time zone.
- Check the price, then select Pay to book. The call is paid from your wallet. If your balance is too low, select Add funds to book. See How does my PlayHouse wallet work?.
The creator then accepts or declines. To follow your booking, go to Profile and select Requests and calls. It shows that you're waiting for the creator to accept, then Booked and the time.
Join the call
At the booked time, open Requests and calls, select Open call, then Join. Allow your camera and microphone when your browser asks.
If the creator allows it, you can ask for more time during the call. They have to accept, and you're charged from your wallet only if they do.
Cancellations and refunds
Refunds go back to your PlayHouse wallet.
- If the creator declines or cancels the call, you get the full amount back.
- You can cancel before the call starts: open it in Requests and calls and select Cancel and get a refund.
- The creator is paid only if you were both in the call for at least 80% of the booked time. Otherwise you're refunded in full.
A refunded call says refunded in its status.
Staying safe
Calls aren't recorded, and you may not record them either. Our Terms of Service don't allow you to record or share a creator's content without their permission. If something goes wrong, select Report this call. The creator won't know who reported it, our team can end a call, and we let you know the outcome.
