How do livestreams work for creators?
You go live from your browser.
Start a stream
- Open Live from the app's navigation and choose Go live.
- Allow camera and microphone access when your browser asks.
- Enter a Stream title and, if you like, What's it about?
- Under Who can watch, choose Free or Ticket. For a ticket, enter a Ticket price within the range shown.
- Choose Go live.
Your profile photo is used as the stream's cover. Like your profile photo, a stream cover can't show nudity.
During the stream
Fans' messages and tips show next to your video. When you're done, choose End. Streams aren't recorded, so once a stream ends it's gone for good.
Who can watch
Viewers must be signed in and have verified their age. For a ticketed stream, everyone buys a ticket, your subscribers too. Fans can choose to get notifications about live streams in their notification settings.
Viewers can report a stream, and our team can stop a stream that breaks our rules. Everything you show must follow the same rules as your posts. See What can I show in a livestream?.
If something goes wrong
- Check that your browser allows camera and microphone access.
- Check your connection, then refresh the page.
- Restart your browser or device.
If it still doesn't work, contact us.
