What are push notifications?
Push notifications are alerts that appear on your phone or computer even when PlayHouse isn't open, for example a new message or a creator going live. They use your browser's own notification system.
Turn them on
- Sign in to PlayHouse.
- Open Profile (in the tab bar on your phone, or the profile icon at the top right on a computer), then choose Notifications.
- Next to This device, choose Turn on.
- When your browser asks whether PlayHouse can show notifications, choose Allow.
After you subscribe to a creator, you may also see a card that says Get notified about messages and new posts. Choose Enable, then Allow.
On iPhone and iPad, add PlayHouse to your Home Screen and open it from there first. See How do I install PlayHouse on my phone?
Push is set for each browser or device, so turn it on everywhere you use PlayHouse.
If your browser blocked them
If the page says This browser blocks notifications from PlayHouse, allow notifications for playhouse.fans in your browser's site settings, then come back and choose Turn on.
Choose which ones you get
On the same page, use the switches under Send me a push for, then choose Save. See How do I manage my notifications?
Turn them off
Choose Turn off next to This device, or block notifications for playhouse.fans in your browser or device settings.
Not getting them? See Why am I not getting notifications?
