Why has my account or content been restricted?
If something on your account has been limited, the notice you received says what happened. Here's what each one means.
Your post was restricted
The post is still live, but it's now marked sensitive. Only people who are signed in and have chosen to view sensitive content can see it. This happens when our team decides a post is fine to stay up but shouldn't be shown to everyone.
Your content was removed
Our team decided it breaks our rules. Check the Terms of Service and adjust what you post.
You got a warning
Nothing was removed, but the content is close to the line. Repeated warnings can lead to stronger action.
Your account was suspended
Your account is suspended after a serious or repeated breach. To ask us to look again, go to /appeal.
Content waiting for a check
Sometimes new content is held while our automatic checks finish. It's published once the checks are complete; you don't need to do anything.
Appeal a decision
Use the appeal link in your notice, or go to /appeal. See How to appeal a decision for what to include.
