How do I get verified as a creator?

To sell on PlayHouse you need to be 18 or older and pass a one-time identity check. Approval is automated once your check passes, although our team may also review an application.

Sign up as a creator

1. Go to Become a creator, enter your email and choose Continue with email.
2. Enter the 6-digit code we email you. If you already have a fan account, use the same email: it switches that account to a creator account.
3. Fill in the short form: a Profile photo (keep it safe for work), a Username, your First name and Last name as they appear on your ID, your Date of birth and your Mobile number with its country code. Then choose Continue.

Fans see the display name you choose for your profile, not the legal name you give here.

Verify your identity

On your onboarding page, choose Verify now. Have your photo ID ready and follow the prompts. Our identity verification provider runs the check in your browser and shows you its own consent screen first: it reads your ID document, takes a live selfie to match your face to the ID, and screens your details against sanctions lists. Keep the page open until it finishes.

Not ready yet? Choose Do it later and come back to your onboarding page when you are.

While the check runs, use Build your profile to add a Cover, a Profile photo, a Display name and a Bio, then choose Save profile.

What the result means

• You're verified: fans can subscribe to you. Add a subscription plan and share your first post.
• Verification in review: your check is being reviewed, and we'll email you when it's done. Keep working on your profile in the meantime.
• Verification wasn't approved: check that your ID is valid and clearly visible, then choose Try again.
• Verification expired: your check needs renewing before fans can subscribe again. Choose Try again.
