How do I delete my account?

Deleting your account is permanent. If you only want a break, see Can I deactivate my account?

Before you delete

• Cancel any subscriptions you don't want renewed. See How do I cancel a subscription?
• Creators: withdraw your earnings. You can't sign in once the account is deleted. See How does my PlayHouse wallet work?
• Fans: money you added to your wallet can't be withdrawn, so use it first if you want to.
• Want a copy of your data? Ask first, through the legal request form: choose Privacy or data, then A copy of my data.

Delete your account

1. Open Profile (in the tab bar on your phone, or the profile icon at the top right on a computer).
2. Under Settings, choose Account, then Delete account.
3. Read what will happen and confirm.
4. Open the email we send you and confirm the deletion from the link.

Your account is deleted only once you confirm from that email.

What happens when an account is deleted

• You're signed out, and you can't sign in to the account again.
• Your profile, posts and stories are removed, and your profile is no longer listed for search engines.
• Subscriptions end, both yours to creators and fans' subscriptions to you.
• Your follows are removed and your chats are hidden.

We then delete your data on a regular schedule. We can't delete an account while it's under a safety review, and some records, such as payment, tax and safety records, are kept for as long as the law or safety requires. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and why.
