Why do I get a code every time I sign in?

PlayHouse sends a code each time you sign in. It isn't a sign that something is wrong, and it isn't triggered by a new device or location.

  • Signing in on the home page: the 6-digit code from your email is how you sign in, so you'll get one every time.
  • Signing in with a password: if email two-factor is on, we send a code after your password. It's on by default. You can turn it off on the Security page, but we recommend keeping it. See Two-factor authentication.
  • Authenticator app: if you've set one up, you'll also be asked for the code from the app.

If you get a code you didn't ask for, someone may be trying to sign in as you. Don't share the code with anyone. Without it they can't get in, but it's worth reading What to do if someone got into your account.
