How much of my earnings do I keep?

You keep 85% of what fans pay you. PlayHouse's platform fee is currently 15% of the price before any tax. Fees can change, and we'll tell you before they do.

The fee applies to every way you earn: subscriptions, tips, pay-to-unlock posts, paid messages, VIP message credits, live streams, video calls and requests. When you set a subscription price in Subscription plans, the screen reminds you that the fee comes out of each payment.

A few things to know:

  • Promotions only ever lower the fee. PlayHouse sometimes runs time-limited lower fees, for example for new creators. A different rate can also be agreed with an individual creator.
  • Agency share: if you work with an agency, the share you agreed with them comes from the same payment and goes to the agency as a separate transaction. The fee and the agency's share together never exceed the price, and an agency can only ever withdraw its own commission, never your earnings. See How does agency commission work?
  • Referral earnings are paid by PlayHouse. They're never taken from the creator you referred. See How does the referral program work?
  • Tax added to a fan's price isn't part of your earnings.
