What can I charge for a subscription?
You choose the price of each subscription plan yourself. It has to sit between a minimum and a maximum, and the plan form shows you both if your price is outside them.
Set or change a plan price
- Open Manage Subscription Plans from your menu.
- Select Add Subscription Plan, or select an existing plan to edit it.
- Choose the plan length, then enter your Original Price.
- Optionally add a Discounted Price. It must be lower than the original price and still within the same limits.
- Check You will get, which shows what you receive after the 15% platform fee, then select Confirm (or Update when editing).
If your price is outside the limits, the form shows a message like "Subscription must be a minimum of … or a maximum of …" with the current amounts.
Things to know
- The limits apply to every plan length, and some plan lengths can have their own limits. The form always shows the ones that apply.
- You need a subscription plan before you can publish posts for subscribers only. Without a plan, fans follow you for free. See Paid and free accounts.
- To attract new subscribers without lowering your price, add an offer (a free trial or an introductory price) to a plan. See Subscription offers.
