How does PlayHouse deal with hate speech?
Hate speech is content that attacks someone, or uses discriminatory language about them, because of who they are. That includes race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, caste, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, serious illness or veteran status. Hate speech, threats and harassment aren't allowed on PlayHouse.
How we find it
- Reports from you. You can report any post or account, and our team reviews every report. See How do I report an account or a post?.
- Review of messages. Messages aren't end-to-end encrypted, so our safety team can review a conversation when investigating a report. See Are my messages private?.
What we do
If content breaks our rules, we may remove it, warn the account, or suspend or ban it. Serious or repeated violations can lead to a permanent ban. When we act on your content, we tell you, and you can appeal. See How do I appeal a decision?.
Protect yourself
You can block anyone you don't want to hear from. If someone threatens your safety, contact your local emergency services.
